SESSION TIME

Initial Evaluation, 50 minutes
Individual Session, 50 minutes
Couples Session/ Family Session, 50 minutes

INSURANCE

We do not accept insurance and we do not bill insurance providers directly.  We can provide receipts to you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.   This is only for PPO plans with out-of-network benefits.  PPO plans usually will reimburse somewhere between 40-80 percent after your deductible.  Before making an appointment, please check your mental health out-of-network benefits first to find out if you will receive reimbursement, how much you will receive, and how to submit the receipts we give you.

PAYMENT

Payment for sessions are due at the time of your session.   If you provide a credit card your session will be automatically billed the following day after your session. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.  (VISA, AMEX, DISCOVER, MASTERCARD, and HSA/ FSA)  All checks will be made out to Good Therapy San Diego.  (Please give 24 hour notice for cancellations.  Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation charge.)

WHEN USING A PPO PLAN TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT FOR YOUR SESSIONS

Call the customer service line on back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:
  • Does my plan cover services to out-of-network mental health providers?
  • What is the deductible I have to meet before coverage to an out-of-network provider kicks in?
  • How much will my plan reimburse me after my deductible has been met?
  • How many sessions does my plan cover in a year? How many sessions do I have left?
  • How do I submit the receipt ( or superbill) that I have for my sessions in order to receive reimbursement?
