Francesca Viera, ASW #123302
I am Francesca Viera, an Associate Social Worker (ASW) with a dedicated passion for helping individuals of all ages navigate their mental health journeys. I bring a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to my practice, ensuring that each client receives personalized and effective care.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo where I minored in Child Development. I then obtained a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Community Mental Health from California State University Fullerton. My educational background has equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior, development, and the complexities of community mental health.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various clinical settings, providing individual and group therapy to a diverse range of clients in schools, in-home, and in outpatient settings. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults, utilizing a collaborative approach that incorporates evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solutions-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These methodologies enable me to offer person-centered care that helps reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, develop emotional regulation skills, and process trauma.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and hold several certifications, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Applied Behavior Analysis Technician, and training in EMDR.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their feelings, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. I look forward to partnering with you on your path to mental wellness!
