Ashley Fecteau, LCSW #89147
Clinical Lead - Sorrento Valley Office
There comes a time in everybody’s life when we realize that we need support. As human beings, we are not made to go through this world alone, no matter how fiercely independent and self-reliant we may be. I am glad that you are here today because this means that you’re considering asking for support. That is a huge first step and I would love the opportunity to work with you on overcoming life’s challenges.
My name is Ashley Fecteau. I am the Clinical Lead for the GTSD Sorrento Valley office and a Board Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work with a specialized focus on mental health. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a range of settings including schools, a crisis center, in homes and communities, and in clinical research in hospitals. What this has taught me is that everyone experiences pain and difficulties in life, and that everyone can overcome them with the right coping skills and supports in place.
I view healing from a holistic perspective - mental, emotional, physical, social, and environmental. My experience includes working with people living with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, grief, psychosis, chronic illness, and personal, family, and relationship concerns. Due to the vast nature of human experience, I pull from a variety of treatment modalities including: EMDR, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and many more. I utilize a Family Systems approach with families and have had the honor of completing training in Gottman Couples Therapy, the only evidence-based couples therapy currently available.
No matter what your reasons for seeking help now, I am glad that you are here and taking this step. Peace is possible and you are not alone. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you on your healing journey.
Please call (619) 330-9500 or email [email protected] to get scheduled with me or another therapist at GTSD!

"Ashley is quite possibly the best therapist I've ever have. She is incredibly patient, sweet and insightful! I was a little hesitant at first because I did not have a positive experience with my previous therapist, so I was wary of telling the same story to another person again. But Ashley made me felt heard and understood, her advices have really helped me take control of my life and emotions. I recommend her to anyone who is facing a roadblock in life!"
