about Nicole
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
I recognize that we all go through challenging times in life, and that this can sometimes leave us feeling quite isolated. My goal as a therapist is to change the narrative- to help the client to move away from isolation, and toward a feeling of hope. It takes a great amount of courage to ask for support, and it’s amazing that you’re here. By working together in a space of empathy and non-judgmental compassion, you can achieve long-lasting, life altering change.
Hi! My name is Nicole, and I’m an Associate Marriage and Family therapist. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved people- helping, listening, and learning from them. In pursuing this career, I have had the privilege to do just that. Authenticity is everything to me, and it embodies my therapeutic process. I encourage vulnerability, self-reflection, the search for meaning, and new awareness. In combining all of this with warmth and acceptance, the real healing can begin!
I received my master’s in clinical counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2022. I was fortunate enough to gain experience in a private practice setting, working with all kinds of clients- individuals, adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I have helped clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, grief, compulsive or unhealthy coping, and many other aspects of life. It has truly been an honor to be invited into the lives of my clients, and to play a role in the processing of their emotional experiences.
In my therapeutic approach I draw upon a few different modalities. I am an existential-humanistic therapist and I use a collaborative approach. I am trauma-informed and draw upon other modalities as well, including psychodynamic, attachment theory, internal family systems (IFS), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). In my work with couples, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), in focusing on communication patterns and unmet attachment needs/wounds. I am currently receiving training in Gottman couples therapy, which is an evidence-based practice in treating couples, and I utilize this method as well. Most importantly, I tailor and individualize my approach to the specific needs of the client.
A little bit about me- I am originally from Long Island, New York and moved to San Diego about 4 years ago. I love anything and everything outdoors- going to the park, reading outside, but mostly riding my bike around Mission Bay! I also love going to concerts and playing the cello. I don’t currently have a dog, but I am in the market for a corgi! I love and value the time I get to spend with my partner, friends, and family and truly believe that connection and laughter are irreplaceable pieces of the human experience.
Thank you so much for reading all of this. I am so excited for you to be starting this journey and I am so honored to be part of it.
Please call (619) 330-9500 or email intake@goodtherapysandiego.com to get scheduled with me or another therapist at GTSD!

"My journey with therapy at Good Therapy, particularly with Nicole, has been nothing short of exceptional. Initially unsure of what to expect, Nicole's warmth and attentiveness immediately put me at ease. She possesses a rare ability to truly listen and respond with thoughtful, logical insights. Despite my limited experience with therapy, Nicole made the process feel effortlessly comfortable. Her knack for generating innovative ideas tailored to my needs was truly remarkable, and I found her suggestions immensely helpful. From day one, Good Therapy felt like the right fit. Nicole's dedication to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment played a significant role in my positive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Good Therapy to anyone seeking compassionate and effective mental health support.
