Katie Greasby, LMFT #131126

Life can be hard adapting to new situations occurring or past hurts arising. Do you feel stuck and just going through the motions? Have you longed to feel seen and heard? When things feel overwhelming, lonely, or fearful, hopelessness and doubt can creep in. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, loneliness, life changes, or difficult emotions, I am here to help. I am a patient, compassionate person ready to walk alongside you through your journey in life.
My name is Katie Greasby, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. My approach is more eclectic using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy. I have also had the privilege to be trained in Gottman Couples Therapy, which is the only evidence-based couples therapy currently available.
My clinical experience includes working for a university as a therapist in the wellness center, a school setting for adolescents with behavioral issues, and in private practice working with various clientele. I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I have counseled client’s regarding multiple issues including abuse, addiction, anxiety, crisis, depression, grief and loss, mood disorders, family dynamics, relational issues, stress, self-image, substance abuse, and life transitions.
I strive to create a safe place for you to be able to explore and unpack trauma, hurts, and difficulties. My desire is to help you work through those hurts and difficulties to help you find more happiness in your life. I desire for you to obtain new insight, healing, and feel equipped with learning new tools on how to handle life stressors.
Reaching out for therapy can be difficult and the thought of inviting a stranger into the vulnerable places in life can be challenging. Let’s discuss what you're wanting from therapy and how we can collaborate to create that. I want to help you achieve your best authentic self!
Please call (619) 330-9500 or email intake@goodtherapysandiego.com to get scheduled with me or another therapist at GTSD!
